To meet the requirements of the certificate program you will need to be able to demonstrate you understand the information presented in the six biosecurity training modules. To assess your understanding, you'll have a one-on-one conversation with a trained Big Red Biosecurity representative. This conversation does need to take place face to face. You have the choice of coming to the Big Red Biosecurity Program office in Lincoln or using online video conferencing offered through Skype or Facetime.

The assessment will include a number of questions taken directly from the information covered in the biosecurity training modules. In addition, the assessment will follow the NPIP Biosecurity Audit format but be specific to the type of poultry you raise.

Although having a biosecurity program established for your operation is not a requirement toward earning a Biosecurity Training Certificate, it is strongly encouraged that you at least have a program in development. Through the assessment conversation, you'll be able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of your program.

Schedule group training

We can provide a one-day workshop for groups of 5-30 people. This is a great option for operations that would like all employees to receive the same training at the same time.

The workshop will include the presentation of the six Big Red Biosecurity Training Modules followed by an assessment for those who wish to earn a certificate of completion

  • Greater interaction with the presenter
  • Allows discussion specific to your operation
  • Provides co-workers an opportunity to discuss how they can implement the information covered
